Are we limited to just 1 team each mens and womens for the Boston battle
Are kidneys considered side? Back with control or 2 inches from spine is not mentioned yah or nay
Foot sweeps, outside in only or are inside foot sweeps allowed?
Gear requirements, assuming no head means no head gear required. Cotton? WKF style (no thumb) or Foam Dipped or anything that is karate and not considered boxing or MMA

Clarifications:

1. Feel free to bring as many teams as you have students for!

2. Techniques with appropriate control to targets all the way around the torso are acceptable, excepting the spine of course.

3. Both directions of foot sweep are good.

4. Any karate sparring gear is good, any similar size and weight knuckle protectors to standard karate gear are acceptable as well. The students at Clark and WPI default to cotton guards, in fact. We’re not asking for anything but groin, mouth, and knuckle protectors.
